Yuri was born and raised in Tallinn, Estonia, one of the smallest countries of Eastern Europe. In 1996, Yuri received an Associate's degree in Business Administration and, in 1999, a
Bachelor's degree in Business Law from Estonian-American Business Academy. Yuri speaks Russian and English, and is also fluent in Estonian.
In 1999, Yuri immigrated to the United States. In 2007, he earned his Juris Doctorate degree from William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota. Yuri is admitted to practice law in the
State of Minnesota and in the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota. He is an active member of the Minnesota State Bar Association,
Beltrami County Bar Association, and Minnesota Association for Justice.
